India's Soonest Flying Buses: Coming to Chennai?


Union Road Transport and Highways minister nitin gadkari has said that flying buses called Sky Buses will soon be operational in India.


He also said that the central government is considering making an alternative arrangement as the environment is greatly affected by running diesel buses. While flying buses will soon be operational in a few states including delhi, cities like chennai are expected to have flying bus facilities soon.

Union minister for Road Transport and Highways nitin gadkari said at a recent event that he is exploring ways to reduce traffic and pollution in the national capital delhi and neighboring states.


He informed that Sky Buses India's first Skybus will soon be operating in select areas of delhi and Haryana. minister Gadkari also said that climate will be given the highest priority as economic growth with pollution is not a good strategy.

Minister nitin gadkari said that to reduce the traffic and pollution in delhi, Sky Buses will be started from Daula Gwan in delhi to Manesar and then extended to Sohna. He also said that if this project is successful then the Sky Buses scheme will be extended to all the metros of the country. 


What is Skybus? 


Skybus is a railway system. It will be similar to the metro but run under an elevated track. indian technologist B. Designed by Rajaram, the Skybus system is said to be similar to the Wuppertal Schwebebahn or H-Bahn systems in Germany. 100 km Skybuses are said to travel at a speed of around 100kmph and use electric power to run these buses. 

Minister nitin gadkari said that the distance from Daula Gwan to Manesar can be covered in 24 minutes by Skybus and it will be a successful mode of transport like the Metro. Ethanol in transport Gadkari said his dream is to reduce India's import of fossil fuels to zero, and that making green hydrogen from water is a priority for the government. 

The minister also emphadata-sized the need to promote the use of ethanol for transportation purposes as it is economically cheaper, non-polluting, and domestically produced. minister nitin gadkari also mentioned that because ethanol is produced from rice, ethanol is going to increase agricultural development in the country.
