What is the purpose of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign?
This campaign has been started this year to commemorate 75 years of independence. This campaign will work to create a sense of patriotism in the hearts of citizens as well as increase awareness about the national flag. The main objective of this campaign is to encourage more and more indians to hoist the tricolour in their home.
What are the rules related to the national flag?There are some rules related to the hoisting of the national flag in the country. It is also important to be conscious of them. If the tricolour isn't hoisted consistent with those rules, then strict movement may be taken towards you. The Flag Code 2002 by the government of india provides procedures related to the use, display and hoisting. Keep these 7 facts in mind1. The flag shall not be used for commercial purposes.2. The flag shall not be lowered to salute any person or thing.3. The flag shall not be used as a uniform or dress. 4. The flag shall not be used to cover any building.5. No advertisement/notification/record should be written on the flag.6. The flag shall not be used to cover the roof of a vehicle, train, boat, aircraft, etc.7. No other flag should be flown at the same height or above the indian flag.
