Sudden Ban on Export of Wheat Flour..!?
It has been reported that the central government has imposed some restrictions on the export of wheat and wheat flour in order to control the domestic price rise. The cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by prime minister Modi met yesterday. While some important decisions have been taken in this meeting, some restrictions have also been imposed on the export of wheat flour.
The cabinet Committee has approved amendments to the Wheat Export Policy and the removal of exemptions on the export of wheat and wheat flour. It has been reported that the Union Ministry of Commerce and industry has sent a circular to the office of the director of Foreign Trade in this regard. The central government has explained that the export of wheat flour has been restricted to control the rise in the price of wheat flour. Since Russia's war on Ukraine, india has been exporting wheat to various countries due to a global wheat shortage.
But at the same time, the central government was also careful that there should be no shortage of wheat in the country. In this situation, due to the increase in wheat export, the central government has imposed a ban on the export of wheat while it has been accused of increasing the domestic price of wheat. Due to this, the central government has explained that the food security of 140 crore people in india has been ensured.
It has been reported that the demand for wheat flour in the international market has increased due to India's ban on wheat exports, especially from april to July, which has increased by 200 percent. Earlier, the central government had decided as a matter of policy not to impose any ban or restriction on the export of wheat flour. But now the central government has explained that to ensure the food security of the country and to control the price rise, it is necessary to impose restrictions on exports.
