'Kalashnikov' rifles in India..!? Russia's important decision..!
India plans to increase production in all sectors and become an exporting country like
china and has announced several programs like Make in
india and PLI. Importantly,
indian companies are involved in the production of arms in collaboration with many foreign companies so that
india can grow in arms production and export. The new version of Kalashnikov is planned to be manufactured in India.
Mass production of Russia's new Kalashnikov AK-203 rifle is to be done in
india, a Russian official said on Monday. There is no denying that Russia's AK-203 rifle is playing a very important role in India's arms exports. The Kalashnikov AK 203 rifle is going to be manufactured in a factory in Korwa, Uttar Pradesh state, and this rifle is going to be completely manufactured in India.
Even spare parts will not be imported from abroad, according to Alexander Mikheev, head of Rosoboronexport, the Russian government's
international arms trade agency. Although Kalashnikov AK 203 rifles will be manufactured in the first phase in the factory set up in the Gorva region of Uttar Pradesh state in the Russia-India alliance, it has been decided to increase and improve its production.
Along with this, a new type of rifle, the successor to the Kalashnikov AK 203 rifle, is also set to be manufactured at this factory. With this, there is a lot of opportunity to take the Russia-India friendship to the next level, and by the end of 2022, the production of the AK 203 rifle is set to begin. In the first six months of the current financial year,
india has made defense exports worth Rs 8,000 crore. Defense
minister Rajnath Singh said on
monday that the
central government has set a target of increasing this export volume to 35,000 crore rupees by 2025.
