It has been built at a cost of around Rs 5,000 crore. This will increase the capacity of the airport from 2.5 crore passengers per annum to 5-6 crore. The gate lounge of this terminal, spread over an area of about 2.5 lakh square meters, will have a seating arrangement of 5,932 passengers.

Railway official said that this train can run at a speed of 160 kmph. The train has the capacity to complete the journey from chennai to Bangalore in just three hours. Railways said that the Integral Coach Factory of chennai has installed intelligent braking system in Vande Bharat train, so that the speed of the train can be controlled better. Railways said that all the coaches of this train have automatic doors, visual information system, Wi-Fi system and comfortable seat facilities.
PM Modi will also unveil the 108 feet statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda today. According to the World Book of Records, this is the first and tallest bronze statue of a city's founder. It is called the Statue of Prosperity and is built to remember the contribution of the city's founder Kempegowda towards the development of Bangalore.

220 tonne statue installed at airport
