Nepal Against India: Has china begun to play?
Concerns about pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, the head of the Maoist crimson revolution in Nepal, becoming prime minister for a third term have begun to materialise. Prachanda, who is already regarded as pro-China, has begun to look toward india in the same manner as his alliance partner and former prime minister KP Sharma Oli.
In the house of Representatives of the Nepalese Parliament, 268 out of 275 MPs voted in favour of Prachanda, who won the confidence vote. After that, Prachanda said, his government's foreign policy would remain the same and promote Nepal's domestic interests. All of Nepal's neighbours, including china and india, will continue to enjoy friendly relations with the country. On the other hand, the Prachanda-led ruling coalition had just previously announced a Common Minimum Program (CMP). An oath has been made in this to reclaim the territories that india is said to have taken over. Although the government of PM Prachanda, which had previously talked of reclaiming the disputed territory from india, has once more remained silent over the Nepali territories held by China. P K Dahal, the prime minister of Nepal, has pledged to play a significant role in reunifying the regions ruled by India.
