Bandi Sai Bhagirath, the son of telangana BJP chief and karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay, was charged with a crime by the Dundigal police in hyderabad for allegedly assaulting a younger student in the guise of ragging. On monday night, the event happened at mahindra University. On Tuesday, a video showing Bhagirath taunting and punching the student in the guise of ragging went popular on social media.
The video unmistakably captured Bhagirath verbally insulting the other student before striking him. The student was also observed being attacked indiscriminately by Bhagirath's companion. In the video, it was made clear that Bhagirath had threatened the youngster with terrible repercussions if he told anybody else about the situation. Even if it was brought to the government's attention, he claimed, no one would be able to accomplish it.
According to reports, pupils complained to the police that Bhagirath had been acting impolitely with every other student. "This was not the first time he had behaved in this manner. Even in Delhi, where he previously attended college, he misbehaved with other students and was expelled from the institution, according to his fellow pupils. The Dundigal police filed a case against him in accordance with sections 341, 323, 504, and 504 of the indian Penal Code in response to the complaint.
