In an announcement issued by the Department of US Citizenship and Immigration services (USCIS), USCIS said that premium processing has started in issuing work permits to certain categories of foreign students. Through this, F-1 visa students can now use this premium work permit process. Apart from the employees, there is an important concession to be made to the foreign students. Through this, F1 visa students requiring Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F1 visa STEM OPT students pending FORM I-765 can upgrade to premium processing for a work permit. For this, USCIS has provided the facility to fill out Form I-907 online. The new service will start from 6th march and will be provided to other segments from 3rd April.
