Telangana’s New Secretariat: Specialities!

Telangana chief minister KCR officially opened the Dr. BR Ambedkar secretariat in hyderabad today after passing through the east gate. The building's foundation was built in 2019 and it was designed by renowned Chennai-based architects Ponni and oscar Concessao. The six-story structure with 635 rooms was constructed by the Shapoorji Pallonji Pvt Ltd firm. The newly established secretariat is distinctive in that it is the first state secretariat to bear Dr. B R Ambedkar's name. It was constructed in a speedy 26 months.

Smart cards will be used for access to the secretariat, and there are plenty of cabins and conference rooms available. The state government paid a staggering Rs 617 crore for the entire structure. The enormous structure, which occupies the same area as the previous secretariat, was constructed over 28 acres.

Another structure, located behind the secretariat, holds the offices of the housing society, the indoor games area, and the employees' association. Within the complex, a mosque and a temple have been constructed. Two floors with a combined area of up to 4500 square feet have been built on the sixth floor, in the space between the domes, and will be utilised for VIP and VVIP visits. There are also opulent dining rooms constructed here in the Nizami style.

The secretariat has four entrances, and the cm, together with the CS, DGP, ministers, and other public figures, will arrive by the east gate. Employees of the secretariat, visitors, and emergency personnel will utilise the other gates. A separate hall has been built for the cm to conduct Praja Darbar, and the CM's cabin has been constructed of pure white marble.
