Confusion, chaos rule new Telangana Secretariat on Day 1
The Dr. B.R. Ambedkar telangana State secretariat, the government's new centre of power, was chaotic on Monday, one day after chief minister K. chandrasekhar Rao gave it its official opening. Employees who arrived at the secretariat on time encountered challenges getting inside the building because it was unclear which entrance was designated for them.
The security guards stationed there diverted employees to the other side even though higher ups had given orders permitting employees to enter through the northeast and northwest entrance gates. The decision to transfer the secretariat security to the telangana State Special police rather than the special protection force, which up until this point had been in charge of security matters, was reported to be the cause of the misunderstanding.
The delay in setting up the communication network was added to this. Employees claimed that several departments did not have internet access, and that some still did not have landline phones. "Systems for secretaries and officers of higher ranks have been streamlined and are working well. But because there is no network connectivity, lower-level officials have trouble accessing files, a worker said.
However, it was reported that Ministers and senior officials were pleased with the amenities at the new complex, and several Ministers held meetings to discuss the status of the projects in their respective departments. On Monday, Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao paid a visit to the famous structure. He went to the Yagashala, where sudarshan Yagam was performed on Sunday, and took part in the special puja conducted by Vedic scholars after entering the building through the east main gate. Inquiring about the furniture and other arrangements, he personally visited the offices of his secretaries, other secretaries, and public relations staff after arriving at his apartments on the sixth floor.
