Food minister A. Chakrapani said that steps are being taken to exchange money and provide goods by scanning the 'QR line' in the ration shops.

After the meeting, minister Ar. Chakrabari told reporters: A four-member committee headed by the district Supply Officer has been formed to examine the quality of rice, sugar, palm oil etc. coming to the tamil Nadu Consumer Goods Trading Corporation. 14,20,000 new family cards have been issued in tamil Nadu in two years. If family cards are lost, there is no need to go to district offices to get a copy. Just pay 45 rupees through net banking. A copy of the family card is sent to their home through post.
In all the ration shops in Tamilnadu, steps are being taken to issue the goods through biometric system. Action will be taken within this month to transfer money and get goods by scanning 'QR line' at ration shops in coimbatore district. This is what he said.
