In general, not enough space for women and children has been a major problem when traveling with children in trains. Now keeping these problems in mind, the indian Railways has developed a facility for childbirth in trains. During the first test of the baby born in 2022, many defects were detected. The railway administration has decided to bring back the facility of childbirth in a better way so that no such defects may occur in the future. Earlier, baby berths used to be normal seats in trains, and due to these normal seats, there were problems like children getting injured or their belongings falling down and getting wasted while traveling in trains. But now you don't have to worry about that, the seats for baby berths are closed from above, so now mothers traveling in trains can breastfeed their babies without worry and without any danger.
Apart from this, indian Railways has changed the rules of lower berth, according to which four seats are reserved for the disabled in sleeper class, 2 lower seats, two seats in AC, and two seats in AC3 economy. Berths are reserved in trains for pregnant women aged 45 years or above. If senior citizens or pregnant women are allotted an upper seat during ticket booking, arrangements will be made to give them a lower seat during onboard ticket check.
