On friday, Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy temple celebrated Hanuman jayanthi in great style. From the Y intersection, a Hanuman jayanthi Shobha yatra was launched towards the main temple. Sunke Ravishankar, a Choppadandi MLA, launched the yatra, in which lakhs of devotees participated while chanting "Jai Sri Ram, jai Hanuman." In the yatra, artists also took part.
Ravishankar gave the presiding god silk clothing and 'talambralu' that he had brought from the bhadrachalam temple. Participating in the ceremony were public representatives, temple executive officer Venkatesham, and others. Sri AV Dharmareddy, the EO of the tirumala tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), said that tirumala will celebrate Hanuman jayanthi for five days from May 14 to May 18 in accordance with tradition. The ttd EO made the announcement during the Dial Your EO programme, which took place on friday at Tirumala's Annamaiya Building.
At the Anjanadri, Akashaganga, and Nadanirajanam venues in tirumala, ttd is organising spiritual and devotional music programmes with the musicians of Annamacharya, Dasasahitya, and Hindu Dharmaprachara Parishad.
