Two people, including a home guard, were detained by the karimnagar police on friday for allegedly faking an employment letter for a job and extorting money from a victim. Home-guard Manda sathish Kumar and Myakala Sravan, both residents of Gattududdenapalli in Manakondur mandal, have been named as the suspects. home guarding is Satish Kumar's line of business in the jagtial district.
The pair met the victim, Md Saleem of Chakunta in Choppadandi mandal, who asked for assistance in finding work for his wife. The accused demanded Rs 8 lakh from him and then made a promise to obtain her a position as a junior assistant in the panchayat raj division. A fake work proceeding appointment order copy was given to Saleem by the defendant. Saleem cross-checked the order copy in the Collectorate office since it seemed like a colour photocopy, and he was surprised to discover that it was a fraudulent document.
The accused refused to give Saleem his money back when he approached them. He then reported the incident to the One Town police, who opened an investigation and detained the suspect on Friday. Stay tuned with us for more updates.
