Telangana - TechnipFMC, Alliant Group announce Hyderabad plans

TechnipFMC, a French-American oil and gas major, and AlliantGroup, a consulting and finance business located in Houston, have both announced plans for new and expanded operations in the state capital. Together, these two initiatives are expected to create 13,500 jobs over the coming several years.
The declarations followed a meeting between the two corporations' senior executives and the team of IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao, who is presently touring the United States. TechnipFMC, a worldwide leader in the traditional and renewable energy sectors, has chosen hyderabad as the location for its international operations. There, it will establish a production plant for precision engineering as well as a global delivery hub for software.

3,500 employees will work at the software global delivery and capabilities hub, and 1,000 people will be employed at the precision engineering-focused manufacturing plant over the next five years. TechnipFMC would initially invest more than $150 million (Rs 1,250 crore) in the hyderabad facilities, with an export value of $650 million (Rs 5,400 crore).
The minister made this announcement after meeting Housila Tiwari, Managing director and Country Head for TechnipFMC in India, and Anders Dahl, Senior vice-president One Engineering at TechnipFMC, at the company's campus in Houston. A modern manufacturing facility for precision engineering will be built in hyderabad that is 1.5 lakh square feet larger than TechnipFMC's IT and engineering delivery centre. According to a formal statement, this facility will generate lots of indirect employment in addition to the 3,500 direct positions, mainly in the fields of specialist engineering skills.
