Telangana - Junior Colleges to Reopen Tomorrow
According to the telangana State Board of Intermediate education (TS BIE) admission timetable, the first phase of admissions must be completed by june 30. A schedule for the second phase will be released as soon as possible. Out of the 304 days since the start of the academic year, there will be 227 potential working days for all junior colleges, according to the new academic schedule.
Along with extending furnishings in 48 GJCs, plans have also been developed to build compound walls in 122 GJCs and 331 toilets for boys and girls, each costing an estimated Rs. 29.99 crore. Additionally, it is suggested that all GJCs be equipped with computers, and that material and lab equipment be provided to needy colleges.
City college launches three new UG programs
A four-year BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, a BSc (Hons) in Biotechnology, and a three-year BBA in Tourism and Travel Management will all be offered by the government City college (Autonomous) beginning in the academic year 2023–2024.
The BSc (Hons) in Computer Science will be on par with the BTech Computer Science and Engineering programme, according to the college's principal, Prof. P bala Bhaksar, while the BSc (Hons) in Biotechnology course is created to meet the rising demand for skilled workers in the fields of healthcare, agriculture, energy, and the environment. With a focus on preparing students for careers in the tourism and travel industry, the BBA in Tourism & Travel Management offers sector skill programmes.
