CM KCR plans big for Telangana’s food processing sector
The chief minister announced the opening of rice mills under the direction of the State Civil Supplies Corporation at a meeting with representatives of Japan's Satake Corporation at the Secretariat. The Corporation would also take on the duty of increasing the demand for processed food items made in telangana on a worldwide scale. He stated rice bran oil manufacturing mills will be created and connected to rice mills, and the Civil Supplies Department would take on the responsibility of turning farmers into merchants. Additionally, more warehouses should be built.
He stated that the foundation stone would be set shortly for this enormous project, which is projected to cost over Rs. 2000 crore. On Monday, chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao urged all ministries to have backup plans in place in case the monsoon season is delayed.
