Over 80,000 engineering seats up for grabs in Telangana

The first round of web counselling for the telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2023 is offering up to 62,079 places in the State's 155 engineering institutes. The affiliating institutions provided affiliation to 137 colleges, representing 80,091 engineering seats in total. Of these, 56,064 seats, or 70%, fall under the convenor quota.
The counselling process will also fill 6,015 more seats at 18 universities, its constituent colleges, and private institutions, bringing the total number of convenor quota seats in 155 engineering colleges to 62,079 overall. There are 4,713 engineering seats spread over 16 universities and the institutions that make them up. Similarly, two private institutions had 1,302 places available. The biggest number of seats among all engineering fields, 15,897 are in Computer Science and Engineering alone. It is followed by 7,854 seats in CSE AI & ML and 9,734 seats in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

"Due to course conversion requests from various private engineering institutions, the number of seats is anticipated to increase. Colleges have requested more seats for CSE and associated disciplines. A top official informed the 'India Herald' that the government has not yet made a decision about the number of seats and the colleges. The registration has already started, and July 5 is the deadline for processing fee payment and slot reservations. Web alternatives are available from june 28 through July 8, and certificate verification is between june 28 and July 6. 54,029 applicants have signed up overall, paid the processing cost, and reserved timeslots for certificate verification. The goal is to get a spot in a higher course and college, thus candidates have been asked to provide as many possibilities as they can.
