Telangana swimmer Vritti Agarwal bags bronze at National Aquatic Championship

Vritti Agarwal of telangana won the bronze medal in the 400-meter freestyle event at the 76th Senior National Aquatic championship on sunday in Hyderabad's GMC Balayogi Stadium. bhavya Sachdeva of delhi and ananya Wala of maharashtra won the gold and silver medals with times of 4:28.65 and 4:30.14, respectively, while Vritti recorded a time of 4:33.33.

Four national records were changed on the first day of the competition as Olympian Maana patel lowered her own mark in the women's 100-meter backstroke competitions from 1:04.33 to 1:03.48. aryan Nehra of gujarat and the swimmers Nina venkatesh and Lineysha A K of karnataka are among those who set new national records.

Aryan won the gold medal in the men's 400m freestyle event, setting a new national record with a time of 3:52.55. aryan already secured a spot in the men's 800m and 1500m freestyle events at the Asian Games and World Championships.
