Kishan reddy in Telangana, former chief minister Babulal Marandi in Jharkhand, D Purandeshwari in Andhra Pradesh, and sunil Jakhar in punjab have all been handed state command by the BJP.
D.Purandeshwari
Former Union minister Daggubati Purandeshwari has been given the command of Andhra Pradesh. Purandeshwari has been the minister of State in the Ministry of Human Resource Development in the manmohan singh government in 2009 and then in the Ministry of Commerce and industry in 2012. Purandeshwari left the congress before the 2014 lok sabha elections and joined the BJP.
In 2014, she contested the lok sabha elections on a bjp ticket but was defeated. After this, bjp appointed her as the in-charge of Mahila Morcha. Since 2020, she has been the state in-charge of odisha BJP.
Sunil Jakhar
Sunil Jakhar, who left congress in punjab and joined bjp, is considered a strong leader. He has been the President of punjab congress Committee from 2017 to 2021. Jakhar was the leader of the Opposition in the punjab Legislative assembly from 2012-2017. He joined bjp in May 2022. Jakhar has been entrusted with a big responsibility in Punjab. bjp may give him ticket from Gurdaspur in place of actor sunny deol in 2024 loksabha elections. sunil Jakhar's father Balram Singh Jakhar has been a big data-face of the Congress.
