On Mondays every week, the
telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has recently seen strong revenue. Prior to recently, it was fairly challenging for it to generate revenue of even close to Rs 20 crore. The occupancy rate in city
services has also risen to around 80%. The corporation was reportedly making between Rs 20 crore and Rs 20.50 crore in ticket fare on Mondays on average, according to
rtc sources. The income is increasing along with the holiday seasons. On other days, the income occasionally falls short of Rs 20 crore.
According to information obtained, the
rtc typically receives a profit of roughly 16% from
bus fares on Mondays. In accordance with
ghmc guidelines, a profit of roughly 122% was realised in June. On Mondays, the occupancy ratio within the municipal borders has also increased, going from roughly 70% to an astounding 80%.
According to official sources,
rtc received an average of Rs. 50 per passenger on Mondays while carrying close to 30 lakh people. Due to the opening of schools and colleges, this figure can occasionally reach 35 lakh each day.
