Hyderabad to host India’s first Centre of Excellence for new mobility
The first Centre of Excellence (CoE) for modern mobility will be located in the state capital, which will pave the way for the city to emerge as a key player in the connected, autonomous, secure, and electric car sectors. In the presence of IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao, Mobis India, Birla Institute of technology & Science (BITS) Pilani hyderabad, and the State government signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the CoE, a strategic partnership.
The minister stressed the significance of providing engineers with the knowledge and abilities needed to hasten the development of new modes of transport, and he stated that the CoE would play a crucial role in achieving this goal by supplying aspiring engineers with knowledge of smart mobility systems, strengthened with data science and simulation techniques. According to him, thorough training will enable engineers to participate and develop on the job while also encouraging a quick learning curve.
Hyderabad was the ideal location for this innovative initiative, according to the minister, who also added that the CoE would not only benefit aspiring engineers but also contribute to the overall expansion of the automotive industry in the area. hyderabad has a thriving ecosystem of technology companies, research institutions, and skilled labour.
The CoE will provide specialised training and chances for research in fields including linked automobiles, embedded systems design, advanced driver assistance systems, automotive networks and communications, and more. The course material will be created to satisfy business requirements. There were several officials there, including srinivas Rao Mahankali, CEO of T-Hub, amarnath reddy Atmakuri, Chief Relations Officer, and Principal Secretaries Jayesh Ranjan and E vishnu Vardhan Reddy.
