PM Modi to launch Rs 6100 cr worth development works in Telangana today
On saturday morning, prime minister Narendra Modi left Uttar Pradesh for telangana, capping up a brief tour during which he participated in a number of events and spoke at rallies in varanasi and Gorakhpur. In his parliamentary district of varanasi, the prime minister stayed the night. After dedicating and laying the cornerstones for eight projects worth around Rs 7,600 crore in Chhattisgarh, Modi landed in Uttar Pradesh on Friday.
In a post, Modi said, "Heading to warangal (Telangana) to attend a ceremony where we will dedicate or officially launch construction projects totaling more than Rs 6,100 crore. These projects deal with a variety of fields, including railroads and roadways. They will help Telangana's citizens.
The prime minister will depart from telangana and head to Rajasthan, where he will speak at a rally in Naurangdesar in the bikaner district. According to the bjp branch in the state, Modi will also lay the cornerstones for and officially open projects totaling more than Rs 2,500 crore during the programme. At a public gathering on friday in varanasi, Modi criticised the previous governments for coming up with their programmes while "sitting in air-conditioned rooms," saying that the recipients of welfare schemes now are models of social justice and "real secularism."
He had said that the prior programmes were intended for a small group of people and that previous administrations had not gotten local input. The prime minister had stated, "A Modi guarantee is to provide self-respect for the poor. The second destination on Modi's journey to Uttar Pradesh was Varanasi. He spoke at the Gita press centenary closing event in Gorakhpur, the largest publisher of Hindu sacred texts in the world. Two new Vande Bharat trains were also flagged off by him at Gorakhpur station.
