400 persons sentenced to imprisonment for ‘drunk driving’ in Telangana Hyderabad
Five people will be incarcerated for six days, while two will serve seven days. They will be joined by 32 other people who will serve five days in prison and 131 more people who will serve three days behind bars. They both committed the same offence: driving while intoxicated. The hyderabad traffic police charged 4,321 people who were pulled over for driving while intoxicated during the month of June, and each one of them appeared in court. While the other defendants received a fine and a warning, the court sentenced 400 of them to prison along with a fine. The Road Transport Authority received a letter from the traffic police and 44 people had their driving privileges revoked for infractions.
