Asaduddin Owaisi, the head of AIMIM and a member of the hyderabad legislature, claims that he and a group from the All indian Muslim Personal Law Board met with chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and informed Rao that the Uniform Civil Code was a problem for both Muslims and Christians. He said that if the Code was adopted, the nation's plurality would be destroyed, which was not at all a desirable thing, and that the UCC would ruin the nation's beauty and culture.

"President narendra Modi, the BJP, and the RSS dislike pluralism, which is what makes our country beautiful. cm KCR has promised us that they will reject the UCC. We'll also make a request to ap chief minister Jagan mohan reddy to reject this. With cm KCR, a number of other problems were also covered, Owaisi remarked following the meeting. In a memo to the chief minister, the AIMPLB expressed appreciation for his service to the State and noted that telangana had enjoyed peace and good governance for the previous nine years.

“It has also become a model for inclusive governance. The State has achieved remarkable improvement in essential sectors of infrastructure, agriculture and welfare. Additionally, we must congratulate you for taking a courageous stance against the unlawful CAA, NPR, and NRC, including the passage of a crucial resolution in the State Assembly, they said. Stating that in the false guise of “uniformity” or “equality”, variety of cultures could not be disturbed, the Board warned such imposed “uniformity” would demolish the Constitution and replace it with a theocracy in everything but name.

Every area has the right to protect its culture under Article 29. Similar to Article 24, Article 25 grants everyone the right to practise their religion as they choose. A clear breach of our basic rights is the union government's proposal for a common civil code. The Board stated that the UCC would be a majoritarian move that was certain to alienate minorities and expressed hope that the telangana government and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi would vehemently oppose it.
