Why did Xi jinping talking about improving America's relations?
Chinese President Xi jinping told former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger on thursday (July 20) that his country is ready for discussions to mend relations with the US. He urged the American diplomat to help in improving the relations as was done by establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries 50 years ago.
American diplomat Kissinger is currently on a visit to China. He has come here after the visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Finance minister Janet Yellen earlier this month. Apart from him, Washington's top Navy envoy john Kerry has also traveled to china to improve relations.
Adopted strict policies against China
Former US President donald trump and current President Joe Biden have also adopted tough policies against china, including imposing trade and technology sanctions as well as forming influential political groups such as the Quad and the Aucus.The Quad includes the US, India, Japan, and Australia, while the Aucus includes Australia, the US, and the UK. Regarding these, china says that the purpose of these groups is to stop its development. Because of this, the relations between the two countries have deteriorated considerably.
