No power in the world can stop me from contesting –Who said?

Union minister Pashupati Kumar Paras said on saturday (July 22) that he would contest the next lok sabha elections from Hajipur. He also rejected the claim of his nephew Chirag Paswan, who had said that he would contest from the seat (Hajipur) held by his father, the late ram Vilas Paswan.Paras told a press conference at the headquarters of his RashtriyaLokJanshakti party here that he was confident that the BJP-led nda would support his claim on the seat and not Chirag, who is yet to become a part of the alliance.

On touching the feet of Chirag, said – this is the culture of Mithila

Paras said, 'I am a part of the nda and there is no doubt about it. Chirag may have attended the nda meeting in delhi, but he was not invited to the alliance MPs' meeting inside Parliament. This tells everything. He said, 'I reject the ongoing speculations about differences with Chirag, which have arisen after Chirag's pictures touching my feet in delhi and me blessing him. It is a part of the culture of bihar and Mithila region, from where we belong.

Will contest next election from Hajipur

Paras, 71, also dismissed reports in a section of the media that he may go to parliament through the rajya sabha or become governor to end the ongoing impasse with Chirag. Paras said, 'No power in the world can stop me from contesting the next election from Hajipur. On the contrary, all the reports are like making noise of frogs during the rain. Due to the election year, you have heard such reports, but there is no basis for them. When it was pointed out that Chirag was claiming his father ram Vilas Paswan's work place Hajipur, Paras said, 'The late (Ram Vilas) Paswan was also my brother.' Paras said, 'Chirag should remember that I was never interested in contesting the lok sabha elections. After filing my nomination papers from Hajipur, I told reporters that I feel like I am getting downgraded. Many people considered it as an acceptance of defeat. But I was only pointing out the fact that I am already a minister in Bihar.
