To challenge the bjp in the upcoming lok sabha elections, the opposition parties have chosen the path of grand alliance. This alliance was named 'INDIA' in the meeting of opposition parties held in Bengaluru on 17-18 July. Since then assam cm Himanta Biswa Sarma is attacking the opposition. In fact, while criticizing the opposition parties for the name 'INDIA' of the opposition alliance, Himanta Biswa Sarma removed the word india from his twitter bio and changed it to Bharat. Now, stating the reason behind this, he has once again taken a jibe at the Congress.

The assam cm tweeted, "In my previous twitter bio, I had written assam, India. I forgot to update it during my transition from indian national congress to Bharatiya Janata Party. Now I have changed it to assam, India."
Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Some congress friends have been asking me why I changed my bio. I hope this explanation will satisfy them."

Earlier Himanta Sarma had said, “Our struggle is centered around India. The british named our country India. We should try to free ourselves from colonial legacies. Our forefathers fought for india and we will continue to work for India. bjp is for India."
