Telangana govt okays major health care projects in three districts

On Monday, the State government approved the establishment of three significant health care projects in the districts, which would cost a combined Rs 70 crore. The health care initiatives include a 30-bed Community health Centre (CHC) in Ellanthakunta, Rajanna sircilla district, a nursing college in Sathupalli, Khammam, and an Area Hospital with 100 beds in Thorrur, Mahabubabad. 


Out of the total of Rs 70 crore, the State government has granted administrative approval for the creation of a 100-bed Area Hospital, the establishment of a government Nursing college, and the CHC at Ellanthakunta in sircilla, totaling Rs 36 crore, Rs 25, and Rs 9 crore, respectively.


Subject to acquiring affiliations from Kaloji narayana rao university of health Sciences (KNRUHS) and the indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, the government Nursing college will begin the four-year B.Sc. Nursing degree course with a seating capacity of 60. telangana State Medical services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TSMSIDC) will carry out all three projects.

The Area Hospital, Nursing college, and CHC received approval from the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao, who was praised by the state's health minister, T Harish Rao. In line with the Chief Minister's forward-looking vision for Arogya telangana, he stated, "I am delighted that three major initiatives will be taken-up in the coming days."
