Parliament Monsoon Session: The central government issued an ordinance related to the transfer and posting of officers in delhi in May. The AamAadmi party has got the support of many opposition parties against this ordinance.

Who has how many MPs?

The nda has 101 members in the rajya sabha, while the opposition Alliance india (INDIA) has the support of 100 MPs. The non-data-aligned parties have 28 members, five members are in the nominated category and three are independent. Of the 28 non-data-aligned members, seven members of telangana cm KCR's Bharat RashtraSamithi are expected to vote with the opposition group. All eyes will be on these parties

BSP, JDS and tdp have one member each in rajya sabha and everyone will be watching in whose favor they will vote. Normally, the nominated members have the support of the government. The ordinance was promulgated by the central government on May 19, a week after the supreme court handed over control of police, public order and other services in delhi except land to the elected government led by chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The ordinance facilitated the establishment of a National capital Civil services Authority for transfer and disciplinary proceedings of Group-A officers from the DANICS cadre. Prior to the supreme Court's May 11 decision, transfers and postings of all officers of the delhi government were under the executive control of the Lieutenant Governor.
