Hate Speech Case: Azam Khan got a big blow....

In the hate speech case, senior Samajwadi party leader and former minister Azam Khan (SP leader Azam Khan) will have to give a voice sample. Azam Khan has got a blow from the allahabad High Court. He challenged the order of MP-MLA court Rampur. Dismissing the petition, the high court directed Azam Khan to give a voice sample. The hearing on the SP leader's petition was held in the single bench of Justice Rajiv Mishra.

Rejecting the demand of Azam Khan, the high court directed to record the voice sample on Thursday. Please tell that in the 2007 assembly elections, Azam Khan had given a provocative speech while addressing the public meeting. It is alleged that he used objectionable language in the speech. Dheeraj Kumar Singh complained about the provocative speech to the Tanda police of Rampur. On the report of the complainant, the police registered a case against Azam Khan under IPC, Representation of the people Act and SC-ST Act. After the investigation of the case, the charge sheet was filed in the court on behalf of the investigator. The court started the hearing after taking cognizance of the charge sheet.

Received instructions to record voice sample

During the trial, it came to light that the audio-video recording of the speech was made a part of the case diary by the investigator but there is no mention of the recording in the charge sheet. The MP-LLA court of Rampur directed to record the sample of Azam Khan's voice and match it with the audio recorded in the CD. Azam Khan lodged an objection against the order. On 29 october 2022, the Special court MP-MLA rejected the objection.

He challenged the order of the Special MP-MLA court in the High Court. Azam Khan's lawyers raised questions on Naib Tehsildar Gulab Rai's recorded audio video saying the order was wrong on several technical points. He said that Naib Tehsildar Gulab Rai had got the audio video recording done on a personal level. The high court gave a big verdict rejecting the arguments of Azam Khan's lawyers.
