 On Saturday, 21 MPs from opposition parties reached Manipur. On the first day, the opposition leader visited several relief camps in Imphal and Moirang, and Churachandpur in the Bishnupur district. The delegation was then divided into two teams. One was led by congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary and the other by Gaurav Gogoi. The group led by Chaudhary first visited the relief camp at Churachandpur college Boys Hostel. Meanwhile, a group led by Gogoi visited a relief camp at Don Bosco school in Churachandpur.


After returning to Imphal, the team led by Chowdhury reached the relief camp set up at Moirang college in the Bishnupur district to meet the victims of the Maithei community. At the same time, the second team visited the Ideal Girls college Relief Camp at Akampat in Imphal east District. congress leader Phulodevi Netam said that the situation of the people living in the relief camps is heartbreaking. 400-500 people live in a hall. The state government is providing only dal and rice to them. Children are getting nothing to eat all day long. There is no toilet or bathroom facility.
