Telangana TSRTC staff stage protests at bus depots over Governor delaying merger bill
As they conducted demonstrations outside the depot's main gate, the buses remained at the depots for a while, disrupting the services. They voiced their severe disagreement with the Governor's choice, who said that she needed more time to review the legislation relating to the Government's plan to merge the TSRTC with the State government.
The telangana State Road Transport Corporation (Absorption of Employees into government Service) draught Bill, which the State government presented to the governor on Wednesday, was the subject of the Governor's request for extra time to review, according to a statement from the raj bhavan earlier in the day. The raj bhavan said that the assembly would convene on thursday after receiving the draught Bill at 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday. The statement claimed that more time was needed to "examine" it and "obtain legal opinion for taking a decision."
