Telangana rose to 3rd in Per Capita Income from earlier 10th, says Harish Rao
According to the 2022–23 statistics given by the Centre on august 1 of this year, telangana, which had been placed 10th in the nation in terms of Per Capita Income (PCI) in 2014, has moved up to third place. Telangana's PCI climbed from Rs.1.72 lakh in 2014 to Rs.3.12 lakh in today's pricing. In terms of PCI performance, telangana was only outperformed by goa and Sikkim.
The minister stated during question period in the assembly on saturday that the youngest State in the nation has outperformed larger States like Gujarat, Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and others in raising the PCI. Telangana's improved PCI demonstrates the State government's strong performance. According to him, the telangana administration significantly enhanced PCI by upholding budgetary responsibility, increasing capital investment, and improving the state's industrial, service, and agriculture sectors.
The minister dismissed the opposition parties' campaign on the State's indebtedness and said that telangana was listed fifth from the bottom in the list of States with significant debts by the union government in the Parliament.
