Telangana Hyderabad - Osmania TV all set to go on-air from Monday
Lessons for the first three college subjects—Geography, Sociology, and Psychology—will be broadcast starting on Monday. While journalistic material development is under progress, the varsity teaching faculty created video content for up to 758 courses in various topics. From 8.30 am to 10.30 am, these classes will be presented, with a repeat airing in the evening. The material of several UG and PG curricula will soon be included.
The university has been given a separate link for the Osmania tv as a result of a recent agreement with the telangana Skills, Academy and Training (T-SAT), a satellite tv network under the IT, Electronics & Communication Department, to help it deal with any future Covid-19-style situations that lead to lockdown. On Saturday, a trail run was completed. The T-SAT network now runs the educational channels vidya and Nipuna. The institution will move the contact classrooms of about 90 distant courses to its satellite channel once it is broadcast. This implies that students can complete the course by watching the course material on tv rather than attending contact courses.
The university will record information in the live classroom, providing Osmania tv viewers with an environment similar to a classroom, in addition to studio-recorded classes in the OU's Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMRC). The OU's new YouTube channel, Osmania tv, will also provide these teachings, so those who were unable to attend the sessions need not worry. In addition to discussions with students and specialists on current topics, interactive sessions with university academics and business professionals will soon be available, either recorded or live.
The OU is most likely the nation's first normal institution to have a satellite instructional channel. The channel will begin broadcasting on monday as a part of the State government's wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital ambitions. We want to make sure that the university's high-quality information reaches everyone. Important university activities would be broadcast live on the channel, OU Vice Chancellor Prof. D Ravinder told the 'India Herald'.
