On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the abrogation of article 370, several PDP leaders were allegedly taken into custody and party chief mehbooba mufti was put under house arrest. congress leader and former Finance minister P chidambaram has attacked the government by tweeting on the matter.
He said, “The government and the lg of J&K are celebrating the “peace” that has come in the state (now UT) after the abrogation of Article 370. I want to quote President Kennedy who warned against "the calmness of the grave and the silence of the slave".
'If there is peace in the valley...'
The congress leader further said, “If there is so much peace in J&K then why has the government put Ms. mehbooba mufti under house arrest and sealed the offices of PDP and National Conference? Freedom is suppressed all over india but it is suppressed the most in Jammu and Kashmir.
PDP wanted to rally
Actually, PDP wanted to organize a rally in srinagar, which was not allowed by the DGP.
