Will the delhi Services Bill be passed by the rajya sabha as well? 

Union home minister amit shah will present the delhi Service Bill in the Upper house of the parliament i.e. rajya sabha on monday (August 7). The name of this bill is 'Government of National capital Territory of delhi (Amendment) Bill 2023' which is related to transfer-posting of officers in Delhi. Earlier on thursday (August 3), the bill was passed by a voice vote in the lok sabha amidst a huge uproar by the opposition.

After the lok sabha, now everyone's eyes are on the rajya sabha whether the central government will succeed in passing the delhi Services Bill in the Upper House? BJP currently has 92 MPs in the rajya sabha, but it is said to have 103 MPs including allies. Both these parties have also spoken of supporting the central government.

Delhi's ruling AamAadmi party has gathered support from several opposition parties, including the Congress, to protest against this bill.
