On friday, S. Niranjan reddy, the minister of agriculture, made this declaration and encouraged farmers and BRS personnel to organize festivities at all of the reservoirs covered by PRLIS. The development of the Palamuru-Rangareddy project, which would permanently benefit farmers in the three former districts of mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, and Nalgonda, will be celebrated at the Narlapur, Yedula, Vattem, Karvena, and Uddandapur reservoirs.
Additionally, the Veeranjaneya barrage at Yedula, which has a storage capacity of 6.55 tmc and can stabilize about 50,000 acres of ayacut, was built in a record-breaking 24 months. 1,299 people who were fired by the state government have already received compensation totaling Rs 205 crore. 1.39 lakh acres of new ayacut would be provided by the Venkatadri reservoir in Vattem. A new ayacut of 1.5 lakh acres would be created by the Kurumurthy Raya reservoir in Karivena, which has the maximum storage capacity of 19 tmc. The Uddandapur reservoir, which will have a storage capacity of 16.03 tmc, would produce the greatest ayacut under the PRLIS, at 9.36 lakh acres.
