Telangana and UNESCO join hands to make AI systems ethical
On Sunday, august 20, the government of telangana and UNESCO signed a letter of Intent to coordinate efforts and take action in order to implement the UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of AI. The partnership is focused on raising awareness of ethical AI development and use, creating capacity, and making contributions to the Global Observatory on AI Ethics run by UNESCO. At the ceremony to commemorate the signing of the letter of Intent, Vakati Karuna, secretary of the telangana government's education department, Dr. Mariagrazia Squicciarini, director a.i. and head of the executive office of Social and Human Sciences at UNESCO, and rama devi Lanka, director of emerging technologies, took part.
