South Africa ready to welcome Prime Minister Modi..!?
Commenting on prime minister Modi's visit, Harbinder Singh Sethi, founder member and director of South Africa's first Gurudwara Saheb, said, “We are very happy that prime minister Modi is coming to South Africa. We expect the south africa - india relationship to further deepen after the BRICS Summit. PM Modi should encourage big indian companies to come to Africa and hire local people in large numbers. This will reduce unemployment. Through this both the countries can grow together.” He said.
Sanju Tripathi, who is involved in ayurveda business in south africa, said, “We are all waiting for prime minister Modi. PM Modi should encourage BRICS countries to use Ayurveda. I want people who know about ayurveda to come here and create awareness about it. I request PM Modi to start direct flights from india to South Africa.” He said. Sri Sathya Sai Global Council Africa President Supri Naidoo said, “Our indian community across the country is very excited to see prime minister Modi here. I am sure that all the achievements of PM Modi in india will be transferred to the BRICS countries. Through this BRICS countries will grow further. He should help take all countries to the next level. We really appreciate everything PM Modi has done for us.” He said that.
Due to Corona, since 2020 the BRICS conference has been held through video, but this year it will be held live. For the first time after the Corona restrictions, the leaders of the 5 countries will directly participate in the BRICS summit. In between this conference, PM Modi is likely to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping. However, the meeting has not been confirmed yet, said Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra.
Prime minister Modi, who is attending the BRICS conference, will leave south africa on a state visit to greece on august 25.
