Laying siege to the district collector's office..!?

Part-time special teachers of tamil Nadu protested in front of the district collector's office along with their children to make their work permanent. More than 200 part-time teachers protested in front of Tiruvannamalai district collector's office on behalf of the tamil Nadu Part-time Teachers' Association. About 12 thousand 200 part-time teachers are working in government schools across tamil Nadu in the subjects of physical education, computer, tailoring, music, painting, horticulture, architecture and life skills on a fixed salary of ten thousand rupees. The part-time teachers have alleged that the government has not made them permanent even after they have repeatedly demanded and protested for the last 13 years to make their jobs permanent.


Also, during the last election, the DMK government promised to make part-time specialist teachers permanent as an election promise. But even after two and a half years of coming to power, the part-time specialist teachers demanded that the DMK government is reducing the tenure of the part-time specialist teachers without making them permanent. Part-time teachers along with infants protested at the Tiruvannamalai district Collector's office to emphadata-size their demands. Also, if their demands are not met, the tamil Nadu Part-Time Professional teachers Association announced that they will hold a massive protest demonstration in chennai on september 21.
