Sushil Modi said – Confrontation is not in interest of state
Former deputy chief minister and rajya sabha member sushil kumar modi (Sushil Kumar Modi) said that
raj bhavan has the right to appoint Vice Chancellors in universities of the state, while the Nitish government
is in a confrontation mode on this issue as well. It is not in the interest of the state to create such a situation.
Opposing the first four-year undergraduate course and then withholding the salary of the VC-Pro VC of Bihar
University is arbitrary on the part of the education Department. The officer responsible for this should be
removed immediately.
Sushil Modi's statement on the appointment of Vice Chancellors
sushil kumar modi said that when the raj bhavan had issued an advertisement for the appointment of seven
vice-chancellors on august 4, then 18 days later, the education department issued an advertisement for the
same post, showing the intention of confrontation. Following the 2013 decision of the supreme court and the
convention of the appointment process, the raj bhavan released the advertisement, according to which the last
date to apply is august 26 and many people have already applied.
Accused on the Under Chief Secretary of education Department
The bjp leader said that by issuing parallel advertisements for appointment to five posts of Vice-Chancellors,
the education Department created a situation of confusion among the candidates. This is ridiculous. For the
third time in two months, the Under Chief Secretary of the education Department has created a situation of
confrontation with the raj bhavan with his arbitrary order, which has hampered the efforts of the present
Chancellor-cum-Governor to bring reforms in higher education. At the same time, even before this, the Raj
Bhavan and the education Department have come face to face regarding the matter of BRA bihar University.
The education department had banned the operation of the university's account. On this, the Principal Secretary
to the governor had protested by writing a letter to the Secretary of the education Department and termed it
unconstitutional.
