Singapore 18 bomb threat..!? People evacuated urgently..!?
Yesterday, on the morning of august 23, 2023, there was startling information that bomb threats were made to 18 places around Singapore. A spokesperson for the singapore police Force made the announcement yesterday morning after people were suddenly evacuated from an "environmental building" in singapore and the site came under police control. The spokesperson said that the police were alerted to the bomb threat at around 9:10am yesterday, august 23. He told news agency Mothership that the 18 locations targeted were government buildings, embassies and other important Singaporean sites in Singapore.
The spokesman said that after receiving information about the bomb threat, the police immediately coordinated with security officials at the respective premises to carry out security checks, but no items of concern were found there. "Furthermore, reports have surdata-faced that a bomb threat was recently sent to Korea by the same person who sent a bomb threat to singapore via e-mail, which was later revealed to be a hoax. The spokesperson added that the police take threats to the country's security seriously and will not hesitate to take action against those who willfully spread false information about bomb threats, even if it is a hoax.
He explained that security officers or auxiliary police officers (APOs) are trained to properly search for suspicious items and handle them safely in case of threats in the building premises.The spokesperson advises the public to be vigilant and to immediately report to the police any suspicious items such as persons with unusual dress and behavior or parcels emitting a strange smell. police are prosecuting a case under Section 268A of the Penal Code 1871 for reporting false information about a harmful matter, which carries a jail term of up to seven years, a fine of up to S$50,000, or both.
