Why is Akash leading the race for the successor?
Lack of big and grassroots leaders in BSP After 2014, the phase of exodus started in Bahujan Samaj Party.
Veteran leaders like Brajesh Pathak, Swami prasad Maurya, ram Achal Rajbhar, Lalji Verma, Indrajit Saroj,
Nasimuddin Siddiqui, nakul Dubey, Brijlal Khabri have broken ties with the party. In the 2007 elections, all
these leaders played a big role in getting the absolute majority to the BSP. In the politics of UP, these leaders
are still counted as regional satraps. After the departure of these leaders, there is now a dearth of grassroots
leaders in the BSP.
Ramji gautam and Munkad ali are the only old stalwarts left. Satish Mishra is identified as a strategist.
Experts say that after the stampede within the party, a big vacuum became vacant in BSP, to fill which
mayawati forwarded Akash. Due to the absence of big leaders, none of akash can openly rebel within the
party. At present, akash holds the third major post of National Coordinator in the BSP organization.
The charge of 4 states to Akash- Recently mayawati has given akash Anand the charge of four election states
simultaneously. These states are madhya pradesh, rajasthan, chhattisgarh and Telangana. For the first time in
the history of BSP, a leader has been given the charge of these 4 states simultaneously. BSP had a strong mass
base in madhya pradesh and rajasthan during the time of Kanshi Ram. If the BSP performs well in the 2023
elections in these states, then akash will directly get the credit for it. Experts say that Mayawati's effort is also
the same. akash is the only leader within the BSP after mayawati, who is reporting directly to the in-charge of
4 states.
