Temple, Mosque, Church inaugurated at Telangana Secretariat
KCR, as the chief minister is commonly referred as, stated during a speech at the mosque that his administration would make every effort to preserve communal harmony and tranquilly in Telangana. He pointed out that since the mosque that was erected previously, when the Nizam was in power, a better mosque had been built.
He asserted that the establishment of three houses of worship has been the finest example of interfaith harmony and that this ought to occur everywhere. "Three brothers working together, praying, and living in peace and harmony is best demonstrated by us. This has lessons for the whole of India, he remarked. State home minister mehmood Ali, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, AIMIM President and hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, AIMIM Floor leader in the telangana Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi, and religious leaders were present for the mosque's opening.
The temple and church had already been dedicated by the governor and KCR. They quickly took part in the ceremonies at the Nalla Pochamma temple. The governor was making his first trip to the secretariat since the opening of the brand-new building. To officially open the church, the governor and chief minister also cut a cake. Senior authorities and state ministers were present for the inauguration. In 2021, when the old secretariat buildings were demolished, a mosque and a temple were also destroyed.
KCR has expressed contrition for what had happened. He had asserted that the damage to the places of worship was caused by the debris that had fallen on them, and he had vowed to rebuild them on larger grounds at the government's expense. Church services had previously been held in the former secretariat, according to Christian leaders who had notified the chief minister.
KCR declared on september 5, 2021, that the government will restore churches, mosques, and a temple in the new secretariat facility. He had previously stated that he had made the choice in accordance with his government's goal of religious equality and in keeping with the secular ethos inherent in the Constitution.
The foundation stone for the mosque's reconstruction was placed on november 25, 2021, five months after it was destroyed during the demolition of the old secretariat buildings, according to kcr, who claimed that the action will further promote Telangana's "Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb" or the communal peace. The mosque, which was constructed for an estimated cost of Rs. 2.9 crore, was given a space allocation of 1,500 yards by the government.
