Telangana TSNAB seizes drugs worth Rs 26 crores in 2 months

In the last two months, the telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSANB), working with the state police, has registered 196 cases, detained 399 suspects, and confiscated narcotics worth Rs 26,01,34 crore. TSNAB, which went into effect on May 31, aims to stop gangs that are involved in the production, distribution, sale, and transportation of illegal substances. TSNAB director CV anand reported that the Bureau's countrywide operation resulted in the seizure of a variety of substances, including ganja, MDMA, heroin, cocaine, opium, hash oil, marijuana oil, injections, and pills.

Besides enforcing the law, TSNAB is launching awareness programmes all around the state. Panel discussions, graffiti murals, contests, and awareness programmes are just a few of the interesting things that are done," added Anand. anand said that the assets taken from the smugglers will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going into the national treasury.


He spoke on the initiatives being taken to reduce drug use at the Narco Coordination Centre (NCORD) meeting. He also emphasised the requirement for acquiring the necessary cutting-edge technology and tools. anand also suggested the necessity to forward Dial 100 calls about narcotics to the TSNAB at the earliest.
