PM Modi exposes himself at BRICS on Chinese occupation claims
The accusations made by prime minister Narendra Modi regarding the Chinese army's takeover of substantial portions of Ladakh have been debunked by him during the 15th BRICS conference in Johannesburg, South Africa. On the fringes of the BRICS conference, the prime minister spoke with Chinese President Xi jinping about the problem of the evacuation of front-line soldiers from eastern Ladakh's Depsang Plains and Demchok.
The prime minister insisted there was no Chinese takeover in 2020 when reports of the Chinese army taking a substantial portion of territory in the Ladakh area surdata-faced.
