Over 1.3 crore saplings planted across Telangana in one day

According to the state's forest department, 1,30,78,300 saplings were planted on saturday as part of the "Koti Vruksharchana" initiative, which sought to plant 1.25 million saplings throughout telangana in a single day. A Indrakaran reddy, the minister of the environment, introduced the initiative at the Forest Trek Park, which was built in the Chilkur reserve forest block outside of Hyderabad.

The ceremony was attended by tens of thousands of individuals, including 49,455 elected public officials, according to a statement. The hmda received 4,13,000 of the saplings planted on saturday, followed by 8,02,100 in the nalgonda district, 6,02,213 in Sangareddy, and 74,685 in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district, which received the least amount.

A campaign to plant one billion saplings was started by telangana ministers Indrakaran reddy, Sabitha indra Reddy, and Patnam Mahendra reddy at the Manchirevu forest section along the Outer Ring Road. The initiative was started as part of the Haritha Haram project, which was established in 2015 with the goal of preserving biodiversity and boosting state-wide greenery. On saturday, the planting drive's presentation took place in the village of Manchirevula in the ranga reddy district. The Green india Challenge founder and rajya sabha member Santosh Kumar, Chevella mp Ranjith reddy, MLC vani Devi and telangana chief secretary A Santhi Kumar also took part in the event.
