'Run for Road Safety' by Bidar Police Department..!?
District Superintendent of police Channabasavanna SL has informed that Bidar police Department will conduct a Run for Safety campaign today to create awareness about traffic rules. The race will start from the city's fort premises and return via siddhartha College, Madiwala Circle, New bus Stand, Classic Dhaba, Dama Magu Circle, KEB office, Guduge Hospital, Haralaya Circle, shivaji Circle, Ambedkar Circle, Mahaveer Circle, Basaveshwar Circle, Chaubara, Gawana Chowk. Will reach the fort.
The 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km races have been organized with the participation of the police department (Bidar police department) and the public. A marathon (Run for safety) program will be held on august 27 from 6 am to 9 am. district Superintendent of police Channabasavanna SL informed that about 5000 people will participate in this marathon. The SP has informed that 332 people who rode helmeted bikes died in the accident that took place in the year 2022 across Bidar district. In the current year, more than 198 people have been reported to have died after riding a bike without a helmet. Thus, a road safety campaign has been launched to make the people of Bidar aware of the importance of helmets and traffic rules. Bidar SP Chennabasavanna Langoti said that private organizations have joined hands with this campaign.
Organized as a part of Road Safety Campaign 2023 (Road Safety Campaign 2023), the police department has issued an order to change the route for public vehicles so that there is no footfall in this race. Buses coming from hyderabad to Bidar bus Stand will be diverted to Central bus Stand from old RTO office via Gunba Ring Road and buses coming from Aurad to Bidar bus Stand will be diverted to Central bus Stand via Gurdwara Gate, a police department press release said.
