The practise continues uninterrupted around the city, according to locals, despite the city police's continued crackdown on child-begging rackets, which has included arresting operators from neighbouring states and rescuing youngsters. Shelter is given for rescued children and their parents or guardians at Boarabanda, Filmnagar, Rehmatnagar, and Yousufguda. However, locals said that on gandhi Jayanti or Ganesh Chaturthi, people return to the streets after first dressed as gandhi or a deity.

"Civic authorities made the city beggar-free in november 2017 when ivanka trump visited Hyderabad," a local claimed. Why is it feasible today but not then? Are there not enough homeless shelters available to the local government? drivers report that begging is becoming impolite and pushy as a means of obtaining charity.

IT worker srinivas Rao said: "I saw a beggar scrape a car when they declined money. If ignored, some people will cuss. Why can't police catch them when there are thousands of CCTV cameras throughout the city? They do rescue missions once a year, but then they come back.

Sociologist Dr. Ch Parandamulu stated, "Child lifting and kidnapping by anti-social elements would rise as they become accustomed to not working, if the practise is not halted. Begging frequently results in criminality. Many states attempted to discourage begging by enacting legislation, but this was unsuccessful. A thorough programme and a refocusing of the current projects are the answer.

The most significant factors, according to him, are poverty, loss of job, a lack of employment chances, physical and mental impairment, incurable diseases, disorganised and shattered families, and religious emotions. Parandamulu described it as a "great socio-economic problem," adding that it was a sign of both society and personal disorganisation. Even though it is a traditional occupation in India, begging has evolved, and the issue has grown significantly.
